Infosys-Springboard Internship
HEY Folks!! I am Parna Chakrabarti, a 3rd year student of BCA.
INTRODUCTION
Infosys Springboard is providing 3 months remote internship which is an excellent learning opportunity for students and learners who are aspiring professionals to improve their existing skills and transition to global corporate professionals. This is an opportunity to be initiated from academia into a professional work experience. You will complete your internship virtually without visiting physical location. You will get to work on some very interesting projects and also experience the life of a workplace.
Domains
There are main five domains on which you can do your internship under a mentor:
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML)
Java
Web Development (Full Stack)
Python
Data Visualization
Internship Structure
Selected candidates will join as Project Interns under the Infosys Springboard program. Each mentor supervises the interns. Mentor will divide all the interns into 3 or 4 groups with 5 to 6 members, each and every members will be assigned to some tasks which will be not same till the end.
As an example: I chose Full stack web development as my domain and for first 1 week we all were told to make some UI for our project using FIGMA tool after having the details of our project and our mentor saw and instructed each of us as per our designs very patiently. Then he chose one of our UI and assigned each of us one task to implement the UI. One of us was told to build the login page, another one build registration page and so on….After 1 week we switched our tasks.
[Tasks were assigned with varied deadlines, ranging from two to four days. In case of exams or other pressing commitments, extensions can be requested via email. Attendance is crucial, with only a few absences permitted for urgent reasons.]
Despite being unpaid, the experience is invaluable, offering practical exposure to a traditional office setting.
Each intern is assigned a project relevant to their chosen field, divided into four milestones over an 8-weeks period:
Initial Two Weeks: Daily one-hour online meetings during weekdays to establish project foundations (Saturday & Sundays were weekends).
Following Weeks: Video meetings are held on alternate days to facilitate progress and provide guidance.
Milestone Three: Focus on creating a user interface for the project.
Final Milestone: Individual documentation and project presentation by all the team members.
Eligibility Criteria
Must have passed 12th standard or higher examination and must be pursuing graduation or completed graduation/ post-graduation
Must complete all the courses prescribed in the prerequisite learning of selected domain for the project and score 60% or above in self-assessment present at the end of the course.
Students in their third and fourth years are eligible.
Working professionals are not eligible.

Selection Criteria
The internship with Infosys Springboard will have limited seats, that’s why they will select only those applicants who,
Complete the courses in the prerequisite learning and performance in the self-assessments
Complete the certifications and performance in them
Survey responses
Performance in the meetings with mentors
You will receive this type of Selection mail if you have completed all the prerequisites in time:
After completing all the prerequisites they will call for an Document Verification process,where you have to join a meeting to verify yourself by showing your College id and a government id.
Application Steps
First you have to register in Infosys Springboard application, wait for the end of previous or running internship batch.After it will end they will mail you to register for the upcoming batch of internship.
Fill out the application form with your qualifications and preferred/selected domain.
Achieve a minimum score of 60% in the assessments that will be given by Springboard.

What will you achieve ?
The internship emphasizes not just technical skills but also teamwork and project management. The final milestone involves a project presentation, where a subset of interns handle the presentation and demonstration. And guess what? If your project is selected for FINAL PRESENTATION you and your teammates will have the opportunity to present your project in INFOSYS SPRINGBOARD SUMMIT,which will be an in-person presentation!!
